Tobias Züst - PI

I am an SNSF Eccellenza professor, studying the ecology and evolution of plant-insect interactions with a focus on chemical ecology and community dynamics. My work uses aphids and other insects as model herbivores to address questions of natural resistance and toxicity in plants, and host specialization and sequestration in insect herbivores. My research spans the full range of large field experiments to controlled lab experiments, and uses a wide set of methods such as chemical and molecular analysis, and modern statistical tools.
